RocketShip Video VRML Spaceship Gallery

VRML stands for Virtual Reality Modelling Language, which, in short, is a way of bringing 3D imagery across the Web for you to enjoy on your browser. Using 3D models, a special .wrl (World) file can be made for objects, places, rooms, interiors, etc., from any or all angles, with lighting, sounds effects, and interactivity.

Here in our gallery, we have prepared various representations of some of the classic forms of SF spaceships, free for your browsing enjoyment.

You will need a VRML plug-in to view these models.  Parallel Graphics' Cortona VRML Client is a good one, but any client that is VRML 2.0 compatible should work. The links below will open in a new window.

 Featured Spaceships:

Standard 50s-Style RocketShip (174K) - a standard-style rocketship, much like the one from DESTINATION MOON or ABBOTT AND COSTELLO GO TO MARS

Forbidden Planet's C57D(286K) - the premiere saucer design from the 1950s

Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers Flying Saucer (308K) - Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion-animated alien marauders
